Course Description: Focuses on improving health care delivery across the continuum of care. Change theories and theoretical grounding for system level interventions are analyzed. Application includes advanced methods/designs for assessing the effects of change. The information technology/care delivery interface is examined.

Other considerations: By the end of this course, the learner will be able to: 1. Critique the applicability and use of change theories related to system-level change. 2. Contrast the application of normative and causal theory for system level interventions. 3. Design a measurement strategy for intervention research evaluating patient and cost outcomes. 4. Select an appropriate risk-adjustment strategy for use in effectiveness research. 5. Conduct a human/computer interaction analysis based on a selected model 6. Propose approaches to translating system-level research into practice.
