Course Description: This course focuses on the social determinants of health and their influence on health outcomes. Factors that contribute to development of vulnerable populations and health disparities will be explored. Opportunities to appraise existing available tools and resources for learning and communicating about social determinants of health and health disparities for a focus population will be provided. Implications for nursing education, research, practice, and policy development are explored
