Course Description: This course will introduce and examine processes that occur as organizations grow and develop in an ever-changing and challenging health care system. Sustainable organizations will be examined through the lens of patterns found in nature and how people are the center of sustainability. Leaders have a social mission to develop and support people in CAS during growth and development of the organization. The organic nature of sustainability will be examined using the Ecological Model where we can see: connectedness, rhythm, balance, acceptance, openness and simplicity. Leaders will find with this new lens that the fiscal mission of organizations can be served with new ways of behaving for interdependence.
